Bowlby uses the Bobo Doll experiment to illustrate the basic premise of the Social Learning Theory of Aggression.
Do you feel that the Bobo Doll study lacks ecological validity (explain why)?

I do not feel that there is a lack of ecological validity due to the number of participants to start with. There was 72 children involved in Albert Bandura's experiment and they were not all from the same age group the children's age ranged from 37-69 months which gave a mean of 52 this shows that the experiment will not just give the reading for children in the world at the age of 5 it has different ages and this means that results will effect a range of children all over the world.Another reason why i feel that this experiment does not lack ecological validity is because they used a male and female adult in order to start the experiment by interacting with the Bobo doll for the children to watch in doing this it allows the children to relate more for example the boys will more than likely what the mans actions towards the doll and same for the girls. Overall having one from each sex in my opinion was good for the observational learning of the children and for the experiment
